WHAT IS CAMP?
An individualized, comprehensive 4-month program to help you get accepted to College for a degree in Performing Arts.
If you are a rising senior and planning on auditioning for Musical Theatre or Acting programs this is an ideal program for you. If you are a prospective dance major, please click here.
The main reason I started this College Audition Mentorship Program was because of a person who unintentionally became my College Mentor my senior year of high school. She helped me every step of the way – from how to pick a program, completing the application process, material selection and branding myself as a "package." She was a shoulder to cry on and a cheerleader for my successes. She has been a mentor, best friend and confidante for 13 years and counting now! WHAT MAKES ME THE BEST COACH FOR YOU
Having gone through this process myself, I have first hand knowledge on what it takes to get into your desired school. Feel free to read more about my background of education, experience, and work that gives me a unique knowledge base to help fill in the gaps of what may be missing in your toolbox as a performer.
While attending Wagner College, I volunteered for Audition Day for incoming freshmen, the next year I was invited to assist in the dance room, and my Senior year I led an Audition Group through the process of the day. This helped me see the inner workings of the college audition process. A year later I was asked to choreograph RENT with Prof. & Tony Award winner Michele Pawk and it put me “behind the table” for the first time. As I have continued to work as a professional choreographer for the last 8 years I have been able to see what works and doesn't work as well as what those “behind the table are looking for.”
As a Professor for 4 years I was able to see the ins and outs of a college theatre program, how the curriculum flows, and how students succeed in and out of school. Additionally, I became part of the recruiting committee and attended College Fairs speaking to rising high school Seniors. I have a keen eye for what creates a well-rounded college audition and how to avoid the silly mistakes that can make or break a good audition.

WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT YOU?
WHERE DOES THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?
I easily show up right to your door like Mary Poppins, except for the monthly Show-Offs and Dance Assessment. Those are held at my childhood dance studio - DANCENSATION at 1875 Arlington Ave in Louisville, KY who has graciously offered their facilities to host this program. *Dance studio bookings must work around Dancensation’s availability
WHAT IF YOU AND I AREN'T A GOOD FIT?
Great question. It is imperative that you & I are a good fit. That is why I personally interview each potential Mentee to make sure our goals are aligned and that you are a good fit for the program. After acceptance there will be a contract for each Mentee to sign committing to the program and to contributing their personal best their work and the group.
WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF THIS PROGRAM?
In a perfect world, a Mentee would attend the first Show-off and then schedule their first private coaching and dance assessment before September 1st. The sooner the dance assessment, the sooner the Mentee can begin their at home exercise program and/or find additional dance supplementation. A Mentee has been given 2 coachings a month to work biweekly and have sufficient time in between coaching sessions and have new material prepared for the next Show-off but as we know, life gets crazy so there is no monthly deadline and your coachings are valid until December 20, 2020.
ARE THERE SET DATES?
A life in the theatre is incredibly busy - for you and me both! Once the class of 2020-2021 is confirmed we will work together to find the date and times that work best for all 5 Mentees. This is a tailored program for YOU.
CAN YOU GUARANTEE ADMITTANCE INTO COLLEGE?
As much as I would love to – no. I can, however, guarantee that through our work together, you will be the most prepared possible to show your best self and get into the school that is meant for you. College acceptance is a huge puzzle piece we will fully prepare for, in making sure you are putting your best foot forward.
